“Zen aims to teach one how to live, so it has no form.” – Masuno
Friedman Benda returns to Design Miami/ with a presentation inspired by the ancient Japanese tradition of a dry rock garden (karesansui). Works by six internationally-acclaimed designers drawn from the gallery roster integrate a balance of volume and form, material and process, nature and industry. The installation reimagines the age-old Zen practice within the temporal setting of a design fair.
Designers on view include: Byung Hoon Choi, gt2P, Faye Toogood, Joris Laarman, Florian Idenburg (SO – IL), Najla El Zein and Calico Wallpaper.
