The Beijing International Design Triennial takes the prevailing international “triennial” mode, inviting global top designers and collecting excellent design works. In pursuing the idea of innovation, it aims to be the comprehensive design exhibition with high academic value, it’s going to the most influential and the most high-end exhibition in the world, and a new and important platform for international designers to present and publicize their innovative achievements.

Under the general theme “Ren: Good Design”, five sub-theme exhibitions curated by five groups of well-known Chinese and overseas curators will be held in five exhibition halls, covering over 5000 square meters. The five sub-theme exhibitions are CREATIVE JUNCTIONS, RETHINKING BAMBOO, REASON DESIGN EMOTION, GOOD GUYS and WHAT IF. The number of the top international designers included in this exhibition is above 400, with over 2000 exhibits covering every areas of daily life, showing the latest trend of international contemporary design.

The themes of the exhibition, the complex scenario it will present to visitors will take the form of an itinerary that emphasizes the relationship between project and realization also through 20 striking installations made with standard products or precious limited editions, shedding light on manual skills and technological know-how; a path that observes the relationship between design and its communication: a true encounter among different resources of creativity in international design.
